In private sale:
For the love of God, a platinum skull inlaid with diamonds with human teeth. This 2007 work of Damien Hirst was for sale in early June at £ 50 million, sold in late August at this price (many references in the press).
A Marilyn Monroe by Andy Warhol was sold $ 80 million in May (information found on Bloomberg site)
Sotheby's announced in September that they sold a Qianlong imperial horse head in bronze for MHK$ 69.1 (press release).
An art dealer in London announced that he sold for £ 1.51 million one of the 50 copies of the Minotauromachie, etching by Picasso: published on December 27 by Anna Davis, Evening Standard.
The price of $ 1.5 million announced in July by the BBC for a pair of glasses of John Lennon sold via the Internet has not been confirmed.
