MODERN ART

One of the four original oils on canvas of the Vampires by Munch is presented by Sotheby's in New York on November 3 ($ 35 million). (SOLD 38 M$ including fees). A 1909 Harlequin by Picasso is worth $ 30 million. (WITHDRAWN)

For the first time, Seoul Auction organizes a sale in Hong Kong, led by an oil on canvas by De Kooning (45 MHK $, 203 x 178 cm, lot 34). (SOLD 40 MHK$ before fees). A still life of Lichtenstein painted in 1972 has no estimate on the site of the auction house, but an indiscretion of Fortis gives the figure of 9 MUS $ (245 x 137 cm, lot 32). (SOLD 62 MHK$ before fees). It will happen on October 7.

ISLAM

There are beautiful objects at Sotheby's in London on October 8: an incense burner of the 7th century AH (£ 600 K, lot 146), (UNSOLD), the oil portrait of a Safavid lady (£ 600 K , lot 49), (SOLD 880 K£ including fees), a Safavid astrolabe (£ 200 K, lot 169). (SOLD 710 K£ including fees). The heartfelt lot is a medieval glass bottle (£ 300 K, lot 72). (SOLD 360 K£ including fees).

ABORIGINAL ART

The painting by Rover Thomas estimated 500 KA$ in the sale of Sotheby's in Sydney on October 20 represents the route of a river (90 x 180 cm, lot 160). (UNSOLD).

FURNITURE

On November 25, Artcurial organize a sale in Paris of Art Deco style, with a cabinet by Printz (180 K €) (UNSOLD) and a cabinet secretary by Quinet (80 K €). (UNSOLD)

SOLD $ 5.2 million including expenses on September 26 by Sotheby's New York, an American Queen Ann style stool, made around 1750.

BOOKS

A copy of Anatomical defoliations by Gautier d'Agoty is estimated at 75 K € by Reiss in Koenigstein. The sale takes place from 28 to 31 October. (SOLD 70 K€ before fees)

WINES

700 K$ are required at Sotheby's in New York on October 28 to acquire a lot made of four cases of Romanée-Conti 1990. (UNSOLD). A bottle La Tâche 1945 is estimated 9 K$. (SOLD 9.5 K$ including fees). The sale also includes a Jeroboam of 1961 Chateau Latour, 35 K $. (SOLD 42 K$ including fees). The imperial number 1 / 80 of Ornellaia 2005 is presented with a very open estimate (5 to 15 K $). (SOLD 12 K$ including fees).
